Art Finney

Art Finney shot his first registered target
at the Ft. Snelling gun club in 1934. He won the Minnesota State Singles
four times, the All-Around twice, the doubles four times, state high average
twice and the Diamond Badge on five different occasions. He tied for the
Grand American Handicap in 1942 with a 193 x 200 from the 24 yards and placed
sixth in the GAH high-over-all with 964 X 1000. In 1950 Art broke 200
straight to win the Grand American Class AA title and placed third in the HOA
with 976 X 1000. He was named on Jimmy Robinson's Sports Afield
All-American teams in 1946, 1948, 1951 and 1952. Art was born November 9,
1909 in Willow River Minnesota.
