"The Hall of Fame" by Jimmy Robinson -1968
"Many sports have their own
Hall of Fame of greats in their own sport. Baseball's Hall of Fame is
probably the most coveted honor that can be bestowed upon any player. But
there is a Hall of Fame for football, Hall of Fame for hockey, and even a Hall
of Fame for bowlers. The popular sport of trapshooting has neglected to
honor it greats of the past and now in Minnesota propose to remedy that neglect
by creating a Minnesota Hall of Fame in Trapshooting. It will be the first
to create such an honor in any state. Selections to the Minnesota Hall of
Fame will be based on championships won, high averages and contributions toward
the improvement of the sport. We have selected nine shooters and the
others will be added from year to year by committee."
